The Women in Medicine Committee is hosting a two part training series in August regarding sexual assault and intimate partner violence with emphasis on crisis response and management. We are thrilled to welcome Sara Jennings, DNP, R, SANE-A as a representative of the International Association of Forensic Nurses (IAFN). This training will focus on how to respond in acutely when there is no SANE nurse available in your emergency room. This discussion will include the steps in evidence collection, identification of assault injuries, and how to appropriately engage with law enforcement.
