About Us

Global Health Director

Thammatat (Juwee) Vorawandthanachai

Albert Einstein College of Medicine

My name is Thammatat (Juwee) Vorawandthanachai, and I am a first year at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. I was born and raised in Bangkok, Thailand, and I attended college at Washington University in St. Louis, where I majored in Applied Linguistics and Spanish. I am extremely excited to have the opportunity to serve as your Global Health Director. I became interested in global health through my experiences in witnessing inequalities to healthcare access while living in Thailand, the US, and in Chile. This passion led me to work with global health organizations in my undergraduate career. My goals for this year is to increase awareness of global health issues affecting our diverse communities, including highlighting some of the underrepresented issues in the API communities, and increasing opportunities for members to engage in global health projects worldwide.
