Would your chapter like up to $250 to hold a talk about hepatitis B?  Then apply for a 2013 APAMSA Hepatitis B Education Grant.  Grant applications will be reviewed at the beginning of every month.  All grant awardees must use the funds by June 1, 2013.

Grant amounts may be raised on a case-by-case basis depending on the availability of grant funds.

Sample Education Projects

  1. Invite guest speakers (e.g. hepatologists, GIs, public health experts, patients and/or families affected by HBV) to hold educational seminars targeting high-risk patients at large community festivals, community clinics, supermarkets, restaurants, community centers, and organizations
  2. Hold educational seminars in dorms, classrooms, health fairs, and churches
  3. Organize educational classes where participants become certified to educate others on hepatitis
